Despite the perception (at least in Europe) that Telegram is mainly a Russian thing, stats show—surprise, surprise—India makes 3 times more downloads than Russia
Indians spend ~9 minutes a day on Telegram, mostly just exchanging messages. Whereas Russian speakers are on it for ~17 minutes, reading channels. Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian media are paralyzed by propaganda. So, Telegram's become the platform for uncensored news and indie bloggers
There are tons of English channels with over 100k subs too, mostly News and Web3. But I couldn’t find any tech bloggers writing in English here, I mean individual influencersI feel lonely 🗿
